It is important to know that CBO (Brazilian Classification of Occupations) is a system that organizes and classifies professions in Brazil and was used as the basis for preparing this report.

It is used to:

• Identify and name professions;
• Describe, in a broad and general way, the activities each profession performs;
• Inform requirements, academic background and experience most commonly required in the labor market*.

What it is used for:

• Search for information about professions;
• Help companies classify positions and roles (e-Social and Caged);
• Public labor market research;
• Public employment and professional qualification policies. The report data is anonymized according to the General Personal Data Protection Law - LGPD 13,709/2018. Information was grouped by the Ministry of Labor and Employment according to CBO Major Groups (Brazilian Classification of Occupations).
  *Major Groups: a government classification that groups different types of work (positions/departments) (1) recognition for classification purposes, without professional regulation function; (2) does not represent the reality of all positions.

Important considerations:

• The report below was prepared by the Ministry of Labor and Employment of the Federal Government and considered e-social data from 2022.
• We believe that in upcoming reports, the Government should use current data, better reflecting each unit profile.
• According to published regulations, reports are split by branches with 100 or more employees.
